Business Development Representative -

K-12 Academic Services

VC3, a dynamic information technology services organization headquartered in Columbia, SC has an opening for a Business Development Representative for the Georgia and Alabama markets.  The Business Development Representative will identify, grow, and manage new and existing K-12 customers for VC3’s Suite of Academic Products that includes TestView, a web based analytical tool that integrates standardized test scores with student, class, and teacher information.  This position has excellent benefits, including: no caps or limits on the commission compensation plan, no geographic sales territory restrictions and the ability to build a residual income based on multi-year sales.

 

The Award-Winning TestView is a flexible, easy-to-use solution geared towards providing K-12 educators the ability to easily track and analyze academic progress, automatically develop academic plans, allocate resources, report on student performance, and administer state/federal accountability mandates. In addition to all this, TestView saves time and reduces paperwork for teachers and administrators.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully develop new accounts in assigned markets through lead follow up, marketing campaigns, and prospecting
  • Perform sales functions which result in increased utilization of VC3’s TestView product in the Georgia and Alabama K-12 markets
  • Achieve minimum revenue and gross margin growth objectives
  • Deliver sales presentations, quotes, and proposals with minimal guidance
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of TestView products
  • Prepare accurate and thorough sales and business activity reports

 Requirements:

  • Previous K-12 career or sales experience strongly desired
  • Strong end user selling and negotiating skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated, and excellent presentation skills
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills
  • Self initiated, enthusiastic and driven to succeed
  • Market knowledge of the Georgia area is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, but also successfully work on a team

Other:

·         Travel Requirements: ability to travel when necessary

·         Work Schedule: must be able to work after hours and on weekends when necessary
