VC3 AWARDED WIRELESS BROADBAND
NETWORK PROJECT IN DECATUR, GA

City Offers Affordable Anytime, Anywhere Internet Connectivity

Columbia, SC – December 5, 2006 –  VC3, a leading provider of high quality IT services to both private and public sector clients, today announced an agreement with the City of Decatur, GA to implement a citywide wireless broadband network.  Residents and visitors to Decatur will be able to access affordable, wireless internet connectivity throughout the city, anytime and anywhere.

VC3 partnered with the city of Decatur to develop plan for implementation of the wireless broadband network. The technology, Cisco Systems®, wireless mesh networking architecture, provides secure outdoor Wi-Fi coverage while delivering mobility between access points, high performance and continued reliability.

“This proven technology will provide customers of the Decatur network with reliable wireless access to the Internet,” said David Dunn, chairman and CEO, VC3.  “Decatur joins a larger trend as municipalities across the nation move to implement citywide broadband networks.”

VC3 currently provides technical support services for the City’s existing network.  “We chose to partner with VC3 due to their wi-fi network knowledge, technology innovation and vendor certifications,” said Mayor Bill Floyd.  “Our citywide broadband network will help to boost economic development, provide broadband connectivity for public-safety and other agencies within city government and offer affordable internet access to visitors and residents.”

Construction of the wireless broadband network is currently underway and expected to be live by Q1 2007.
