Senior Sales Engineer
VC3, a dynamic, growing IT services solution provider, headquartered in Columbia, SC is seeking to fill a Senior Sales Engineer position in our Columbia office. The Sr. Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing pre-sales technical / functional support to the sales team for prospective clients and current customers. This position will work with the sales team to qualify opportunities and convert leads into successful engagements. The Sr. Sales Engineer must combine excellent sales ability, and consultative skills with a solid understanding of advanced and emerging technologies with emphasis on IP Telephony solutions, servers, storage, virtualization and business continuity solutions. The Sr. Sales Engineer will work with the sales team to develop and deliver high quality presentations, demonstrations and statements of work.
The Sr. Sales Engineer will work collaboratively with the sales team to proactively support the sales pipeline and to drive opportunities to closure. Candidates must know how to gather the client data required to effectively tailor a solution.
Responsibilities:
· Participate in sales presentations in a technical advisory role. Answer technical questions and offer solutions that will meet customer business needs.
· Analyze customer requirements and design solutions that will meet the customer’s needs.
· Analyze a customer’s environment and provide an assessment of needs and ROI of various solutions.
· Work with various vendor pricing programs to develop functional solutions at the most competitive price possible
· Play a key role in the development of the bid, proposal, and customer presentation.
· Develop the customer statement of work that details the overall customer solution.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience (8+ years relevant experience).
- Experience in selling Cisco and Microsoft solutions into enterprise network.
- Experience with VoIP, VMWare virtualization software and server storage products is a plus.
- Experience designing and selling complete end-to-end solutions is desired.
- Knowledge of security issues and solution development desired.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interface with various levels of customers and internal personnel for all aspects of the market and products.
- Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) highly desired.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) highly desired.

· Work Schedule: must be able to periodically work after hours and on weekends.
