Account Manager

Columbia, SC

VC3, an innovative IT services solution provider headquartered in Columbia, SC is seeking to fill an Account Manager position in our corporate office. This challenging position will work in conjunction with our Virtual Chief Information Officers (VCIOs) in managing a variety of new and existing VC3 customers. The Account Manager will be involved with a range of advanced technology offerings and will facilitate activities across departments. In this role you will be involved with customer communications & relationship management, resource scheduling, vendor management, purchasing coordination, quote creation & delivery, performance-to-contract reporting and various support administrative functions.  This is NOT a sales role, there is no quota to meet!

Here’s what you will be responsible for:

  • interface with vendors, as needed, to generate pricing information and quotes
  • assist with the development of customer presentations
  • assist in special or customized projects
  • coordinating rfp/rfq responses
  • invoicing review and approval, including assisting customers with billing inquiries and working closely with the VC3 finance team
  • managing customer renewals
  • organize and update electronic customer files
  • conduct industry relevant research that requires analytical skills
  • work closely with customers’ primary engineers and project coordinators to ensure customer satisfaction
  • act as a contact between customers, vendors, and VC3 resources

Here’s the experience we would like for you to have:

  • 3 years of account management, project management, or administrative/sales support
  • advanced level: MS Office (Word/Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint) skills

It would also be great if you had experience with any of the below, but if not, we will teach you:

  • ConnectWise
  • QuoteWerks
  • MS SharePoint
  • technology industry knowledge
  • familiar with ITIL practices

Here is some more info to know:

  • Travel Requirements: Limited, local; must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Work Schedule: normally 8am-5pm schedule, somewhat flexible
