Account Manager

Columbia, SC

VC3, an innovative IT services solution provider headquartered in Columbia, SC is seeking to fill an Account Manager position in our Columbia, SC office. This challenging position is responsible for assisting the Software Products Group in providing services to new and existing VC3 customers. The Account Manager will be involved with a range of advanced technologies and will need to utilize excellent multi-tasking and communication skills to facilitate activities across departments. In this role you will be involved with customer communications, resource scheduling, vendor management, purchasing coordination, entering contract information, performance-to-contract reporting, and various administrative functions. This is not a sales role!

Here’s what you will be responsible for:

  • prepare internal status reports for teams and external status reports for customers
  • review and approve time entries for invoicing
  • interface with customers and vendors to generate pricing information and present quotes
  • monitor and enter information into various software systems
  • assist with the development of presentations
  • manage the requests for proposal (RFP) process
  • coordinate and attend customer meetings
  • conduct industry relevant research that requires analytical skills
  • act as the customer advocate
  • assist in special projects

Here’s the experience we would like for you to have:

  • 3 years of account management or administrative support
  • advanced level: MS Office (Word/Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint) skills

It would also be great if you had experience with any of these, but if not we will teach you:

  • ConnectWise
  • MS SharePoint
  • technology industry knowledge
  • familiar with ITIL practices

Here is some more info to know:

  • Travel Requirements: as needed, must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.  Limited overnight travel.
  • Work Schedule: normally 8am-5pm schedule; limited weekends for events (trade shows, conferences)
