VC3, an innovative IT services solution provider headquartered in Columbia, SC has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator.  VC3 has been named one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina for the last 9 consecutive years!  This position will allow you to grow with a stable IT managed services provider that has a 25-year history and that is continuing to expand throughout the country.  Though being technical yourself is not a requirement, having a natural curiosity about technology is a must.

This challenging position is responsible for managing a variety of human resources functions but will be focused on recruiting candidates that are a great fit with our company culture and core values.

Here’s what you will be responsible for:

  • execute full life-cycle talent acquisition that includes sourcing, screening, interviewing and hiring for various positions within the company
  • manage the career fair process which includes coordinating and attending the events at job fairs, local colleges and other networking events
  • ensure a positive new employee onboarding experience from start to finish; this includes pre-start items such as background checks and new hire paperwork along with new hire orientation and new employee follow-up sessions throughout the first 90 days
  • maintain the internship program for the company
  • be a point of contact for employee relations issues; involving the Director of HR and key leadership when appropriate
  • administer employee health plans including training staff, enrollments, changes and terminations and be the single point of contact for benefit related questions
  • assist with employee engagement initiatives
  • performs internal customer service functions by responding to employee requests and questions
  • maintains compliance with federal and state regulations regarding employment and hiring

Here’s the background we think will make you successful:                                                 

  • bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of human resource experience
  • 1+ years of administrative experience
  • PHR certification preferred
  • positive attitude and solution oriented
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • proficient with Microsoft Office products

  • work schedule: generally 8am-5pm
  • transportation: valid driver’s licenses and reliable transportation
  • flexibility to accommodate occasional after-hours interviews
  • travel: ability to travel to remote offices occasionally; less than 25%
