GO Concepts Sponsors OACB22 Spring Conference

Once again, the GO Concepts team was proud to be a part of the OACB22 Spring Conference.

GO Concepts is honored to have been a sponsor, attendee, and provider of another cool giveaway at this year’s OACB22 Spring Conference in Columbus Ohio. It was an engaging and enriching event, and we can’t wait for the Annual Conference later this year.

“It was great seeing so many of our partners and catching up on what all they have going on,” says Ted Mehlman, Business Development Coordinator, GO Concepts. “We truly appreciated the opportunity to meet some new people and share our passion for providing great IT service to Ohio’s County Boards and other DD-related organizations.”

What Is the OACB Spring Conference?

The OACB22 Spring Conference was a two-day event put on by the Ohio Association of County Boards. It was held at the Hilton Columbus at Easton, and gave members of the DD support industry the chance to network, develop their skills, and learn about new updates that apply to the incredibly important work they do.

This year’s theme was “Technology”, and through a series of presentations and seminars, exploring the way new devices can support people living with developmental disabilities. The keynote address was given by Margarita Benitez, Fashion Technologist and an Associate Professor at The Fashion School at Kent State University. Her topic, “Changing the Game: The Wearable Tech Revolution” covered what wearable tech can offer.

Over the course of the two-day event, attendees could follow a specific track of scheduled events that focused on a specific topic or role familiar to DD-related organizations:

• Early Intervention
• Health, Safety and Wellness
• SSA
• Communications
• Family Partnerships
• Human Resources
• State Updates

How Does GO Concepts Support The OACB22 Spring Conference?

The GO Concepts team was proud to be both a sponsor and attendee for the event. Our team staffed a booth in the vendor hall at which we could talk face-to-face with our peers, colleagues, and partners we serve from around Ohio.

We also offered walk-up assistance with IT issues for our existing partners and anyone else that had questions. Those encountering IT issues at the event had direct access to our expert support. Once again, we also facilitated free raffle giveaways for art pieces from the awesome group at InsideOut Studio Art Studio.

“The OACB conferences are incredibly valuable events, and we really enjoy a lot of positive face-to-face conversations with our partners, as well as those we hope we get the chance to serve,” Joe Penney, IT Operations Director, GO Concepts.
